Be it fashion week in London, Milan, Paris (which has just begun) or New York, top designers from the world over have set some interesting new fashion trends for the next season. Here are some of the hottest Spring/Summer 2012 style trends from the international fashion weeks
Metallics: First on the trend list is metallic clothing. Metallic dresses and pants were all the rage on the ramp this season. From Givenchy to Ferragamo and Herve Leger, the fashion power houses used gold, silver and bronze in their creations.
Whites: The ever-pure, ethereal white was seen on many a model this fall. White then, looks to be one of the preferred colours for Spring/Summer 2012. Some designers that used white in their creations were Emilio Pucci, Ralph Lauren and Givenchy.
Feminine Silhouettes: Although we saw a few androgynous collections, overall the feminine silhouette is what stood out the most. Sheer and flowy knee length dresses and body hugging maxis by Prada, John Galliano and Ralph Lauren, to name a few, enhanced the feminine curves.
Prints: Another trend that's setting the runway ablaze is that of prints. Whether structured, abstract or floral, prints were seen on all kinds of outfits. Balmain, Ferragamo and J Mendel are some designers who indulged in this trend.
Bright Colours: The coming summer is going to see a lot of bright reds, blues, greens and oranges. Dresses, tailored pants and a variety of tops and tunics were seen in bright colours this fashion week season. From Manish Arora to Fendi and Luca Luca, everyone seems to know that block colours are here to stay.
Handbags: Handbags on the ramp were mostly medium-sized and brightly coloured, setting off the outfit. Also seen on the runway were clutches, some muted, some coloured.
